Probably The Most Powerful Eye Exercise To Rebuild Your Vision

There are many ways out there that you can try to improve eyesight. Few of them are surely good, some are just OK, and others are just a waste of time. How are you going to determine which is which?

That’s my question two years ago. Ever since then, I’ve cautiously tried every the vision exercises I known of and recorded my progress. How did they do? My outcome astonished me.

One fifth of the vision therapy I tried was responsible for eighty percent of my progress. I make note of these eye exercises and combined them as what I called “the basics”. Those eye exercises, I assumed, are the core of any vision enhancement regime.

In this post, I’d like to show you one of these eye exercises. It’s named “palming”. It may sound too straight-forward but trust me, it works. It goes like this:

Make sure you are seated for this eye exercises. Close your eyes and gently put your palms on them, so that you can’t see light. Imagine the tense in your neck and shoulders are dissipating. Think of something that relaxes you. It can be anything. A beautiful beach? A small garden surrounded by enormous field of blossoms, perhaps.

While you palm, make sure you use a countdown device hence you won’t be anxious about how long you’ve been doing it. Palm for a total of 10 minutes, 3 times everyday. Once when you wake up in the break of the day, once during your recess from work and once just prior to you go to sleep.

Palming at the beginning of the day allows you to apply a standard for the rest of the day. The one in the noon allows your eyes to chill out and regulate stress. While the one in the evening loosen your eyes and prepares it for sleep.

Our eyes are often compared to our muscles and eyeglasses are often compared to “crutches”. Some vision~eyesight “gurus” believe that by wearing eyeglasses, you exhaust your eye muscles and degenerate your vision~eyesight. But is that correct?

The term “eye exercises” are highly deceiving. They are indeed, more like “breathing exercises”. Eye exercises relaxes your eye muscles, not enhance them! They do this through practising correct vision habits and when you do them everyday, you’ll subconsciously pick up the ideas beneath them.

When you once again obtained correct vision habits, your eyes will naturally see sharply again. Specs are unhealthy not because it “cripple” your eye muscles… they are poor because they did not let your eye muscles to unwind!

Just like your other senses, vision is suppose to be effortless. You won’t find yourself “trying” to listen, touch, smell or taste. Even providing that you plan to do so, you can’t. That is the phase you are aiming for: effortless sight! Also it could only be accomplished if you throw away your specs and perform vision therapy. Naturally, constantly make sure you put on your eyeglasses whenever you undertake hazardous activities like driving or crossing the road!

Having said that, you should also consider how not using glasses will influence your eyesight habit. Will it make you strain even more? If so, you should think about buying spectacles with 2 to 3 degrees lower than your prescription for vision therapy. This will allow you to see effectively well but at the same time allows room for betterment.
