Replace white foods such as white bread, white rice and sugar with whole grain foods.  Whole grains are lower in fat and higher in nutrients.  The fiber in whole grains will make you feel fuller faster and longer.  Finally, whole grains add nutrients that many people lack in their diet.

Drink more water.  Replace juice and soda with water since that juice and soda adds 90,000 calories to an average person’s diet every year.  Drink it between meals too.  The goal is 8 glasses of water each day.  It seems like a lot, but it’s not.  Drinking water also promotes health in general by keeping you well hydrated and helping to avoid overheating.

Eat healthy snacks between meals.  The body needs food every three to four hours to maintain proper blood sugar.  Eating healthy snacks, such as fruits, helps control eating at meal times.

Get rid of the “fat” clothes.  If you don’t have clothes that are comfortable when you’re fat, you’re more likely to be reminded to keep the weight off every time you dress.  And if you have to buy a whole new wardrobe you’re less likely to gain weight.

Use smaller plates.  It’s proven that people eat what’s in front of them.  Smaller plates mean smaller portions, so put the salad plates into use as the main plate.

Try serving meals on the plate, restaurant style, rather than in bowls and on trays.  When the plate is empty the meal is over, instead of spooning another portion onto your plate.

Avoid white foods such as white bread, sugar, and white rice.  Those are the foods with loads of carbohydrates which lead to higher blood sugar and weight gain.  Stick to whole grain breads and dark rice.  Don’t be concerned with the sugar, pretty soon you won’t miss it.

Day two breakfast consists of black coffee or tea (with Sweet & Low or Equal) or a glass of water, One egg cooked any style, one slice of toast, and 1 banana.  Lunch consists of 1 cup of cottage cheese or tuna, five saltine crackers, and black coffee or tea (with Sweet & Low or Equal) or water.  Dinner includes two beef franks or hot dogs, 1/2 cup of carrots,one banana, one cup of broccoli or cabbage, 1/2 cup of vanilla ice cream, and black coffee or tea (with Sweet & Low or Equal) or water.

And lastly day three breakfast consists of black coffee or tea (with Sweet & Low or Equal) or a glass of water, 5 plain saltine crackers, one oz.(slice) cheddar cheese, and one apple.  Lunch includes one hard boiled egg, a slice of toast, and black coffee or tea (with Sweet & Low or Equal) or water.  Dinner consists of 1 cup of tuna, one cup of carrots, one cup of cauliflower, 1 cup of melon, a half cup of regular vanilla ice cream, and black coffee or tea (with Sweet & Low or Equal) or a glass of water.

Cottage cheese can be substituted for tuna, an orange can be substituted for grapefruit, frozen yogurt can replace the ice cream, and as much lemon, salt and pepper, and mustard can be used as desired.  Please remember that this fast weight loss diet is meant to be a 3 day diet, only to be used along with an overall healthy diet.  Another great idea is to ask the local hospital what they serve for patients on low calorie diets.
